Malvag Dinner: scalability, resilience, and price — you can only pick two, they say

Last night I hosted a Malvag dinner with Joel Garia and Tito Petronio, and somewhere between a ribeye and a glass of deep red wine, we sketched out the idea for a demo of the infrastructure running the Miamo website — one that promises to be nothing short of explosive.

The conventional wisdom goes like this: when it comes to scalability, resilience, and price, you can only pick two. Or so they say.

But what if, under the darkly excellent guidance of a certain shadowy eminence, the Criticalcase team had actually built an infrastructure capable of surviving any influencer storm — posting stratospheric uptime numbers, and at a perfectly reasonable cost?

And what if they’d done it on Magento Community, ensuring the machine never drops a sale — not for a second, not even during a deploy?

If you’re curious whether the rumours have any basis in reality — and what that reality might look like — comment #malvagio and we’ll send the event date and time straight to your inbox.

For everyone else: oblivion! 😈
